Having recently installed a flagship 5-colour SRA3 HP Indigo press to
complement our 4-colour 3050, Gemini Digital Colour are proud to be both the
most-experienced and one of the most up-to-date HP colour digital printers in
the UK. Gemini was established in 1993 as a division of 100-year-old family
company D Brown & Sons Ltd. The Directors had realised that traditional litho
was incapable of meeting the new market demands regarding speed of
turnaround, quality and precise targeting that were now increasingly required.
Quite impossible with conventional wet ink. But colour digital printing changed
all that.
The unique technology developed by a then unknown Israeli company Indigo
and Gemini Digital Colour revolutionised the print market. Indigos are the only
machines in the world which, by using real ink not toner, can produce a result that is often even more vibrant than |
conventional litho and streets ahead of any
toner engines like Xerox and Xeikon. Hewlett Packard were so impressed by the
concept that they subsequently bought the company and so HP Indigo was born.
Their third and fourth generation machines which Gemini Digital Colour
currently run have taken colour digital printing to new heights of quality and
productivity in that now, through leading print management companies and
design agencies, we are privileged to print for some of the most prestigious
companies and organisations in the UK.
